Welcome to the Dinner Party Diary Home Page
No doubt there have been times when you have wondered what menu you have given certain friends in the past, especially now that you are arranging a new dinner party for them .... you think hard, consult notes, but alas are not quite sure .... Even if you could remember - how was the food and wine received? Was it a success .... or more important were the 'Ribs of Beef' too rare for some .... or not for others? Next time did you decide to roast two separate joints of 'Beef' so that you could please all? Can you really remember all the wines you gave .... and when did this happen?
As you can see, there is a possible need for some form of 'dinner party diary'. So why not a database one that will allow you to find out any single item at the click of a few buttons .... e.g. when did we last have Jim and Ellen to dinner .... ?
You just go to the 'Main Screen' (Shown below), Click on 'Find' then in the 'Guests' area type Jim .... then click on 'Find' again, then up would come the screen showing not only when Jim and Ellen last came, but who else was with them .... the menu they had .... and if they had dined with you more than once you will see the number of records when they were with you (top left hand column).... apart from the comments you made for future reference ....
The same applies to the food .... how often have you given Roast Beef or Pheasant .... and who to,and when .... and the same applies to dessert, wines, cheeses .... not to mention the mix of people ....

Below is an image of the Main Screen showing the layout of various fields with some data already entered as an example .... but each of the fields will take up to 800 words .... so you would have plenty of area for comments .... and, should you require a larger seating arrangement, then click on the button 'Additional Seating Plan' .... under the photograph window .... this would take you to another screen showing 3 different seating arrangements for your guests .... we hope you like it ....
Below this is the Second Screen table plan ....
This will allow you to plan for a dinner party seating up to 8 guests at a round table, 10 guests at a rectangular table or if required up to 20 guests at a long table .... with the facility for place names to match .... all of which can be printed out for reference or for your guests ... along with their menu

As you can see, it is possible to print out lists of a whole number of features that you might need or wish to use again, or just to have a record for reference, or even photographs to send via email or post .... all easy to print out at the touch of a button ....
